Badge-Making Celebration: 50 Years of Women's Rights and Women's Liberation

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Sex Discrimination Act and Equal Pay Act coming into effect in 1975, by designing your own badge!

Get hands on and collage using a range of stickers and photographs from the collections at Bruce Castle Museum & Archive, including the nationally significant Joyce Butler Archive. Get active and  commemorate the work of local women to win equal rights across the nation! The day 13 December also happens to be Joyce Butler's (1910-1992) birthdate - the perfect day to celebrate her tireless campaigns for women's rights and social justice.
