Image

Free, all welcome. Booking required.
Join your guide local historian Oona Kelly on a walking tour through Tottenham's Downhills Park to Lordship Recreation Ground when you can discover more about the origin of Broadwaters Farm and the grand house and gardens of Downhills - from where the park gets its name. You will hear intriguing stories about the man whose son helped found the UK's oldest purpose-built museum; or about the lofty water-tower where the Homeguard kept watch in WW2; and about the man who was said to have kept 6 women and had 3 country estates and went to America, leaving his wife and 8 children in England.
Please book your free ticket for this walking tour via Ticket Tailor.
Meet: 11am at the Downhills Park entrance (by the Cafe Forks & Green).
This walk will go to Lordship Recreation Ground and return to Downhills Park and will take under 2 hours.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable shoes for walking.
