Volunteering

Our volunteers are important to us at Bruce Castle Museum and Archive.

Not only are they able to learn new skills or sharpen up old ones, build up their confidence and broaden their work experience, but it is also an opportunity to meet new people and give back to our communities whilst sharing valuable knowledge and expertise. All this greatly contributes to our services at Bruce Castle.

Volunteers get involved in lots of things at the Museum and Archive. They can help out regularly or occasionally at events and activities taking place at Bruce Castle.

They can get involved behind the scenes on small projects such as listing, researching or storing our collections, working alongside our professional staff to help make our heritage more accessible. There are also occasional opportunities to support work on exhibitions, as well as volunteering for learning activities or community events.
